Swedish metal band Ghost already made headlines this week when they released a new song, “Square Hammer,” which will be on their Popestar EP, scheduled to come out tomorrow on September 16.
Today, they announced that they would be holding “costal rituals” in two separate special events, one in New York and one in Los Angeles. Their Facebook post said that the attendees’ “reward will be generous.”
It’s unclear what exactly they mean by a “costal ritual,” but it seems like they could be revealing the EP and perhaps hosting a listening party or giving out merchandise. Ghost begins “The Popestar Tour 2016” tomorrow in Rochester, NY.
The event in New York will be held at Saint Vitus Bar at Midnight, and for you California folk, you can head to Monty Bar at 9:30 p.m.
Ghost has been taking the music world by storm ever since this summer. Their third album, Meliora, was released in August and met with critical acclaim. “Cirice” off of that album won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance, making Ghost the first ever Swedish rock band to be nominated for and to win a Grammy.
